Emails

Scott & I have received cards and notes regarding our news, but it's very interesting when someone you really don't know or have never met touches you with kind words about the joys of expecting or just children in general.

I plan to print out this blog into a book each year (if I'm that good at keeping up with updating it) and wanted to include this email I received today. It's from a grandmother who received photographs from her children/grandchildren for Christmas that I took this past fall...

"Megan, thank you so much for putting the pictures back out for us. It was such a hard job. I am so very pleased with the pictures the children gave to us. It is a treasured gift that no one will ever be able to match. Family is so important and I am so blessed. I especially loved the really close up pictures of the grandchildren's faces. Again, I would like to say thank you for the very important part that you played. The pictures are wonderful and hopefully we will be able to enjoy them for many years to come. I saw you in Harris' a couple of Sundays ago and I know that you are going to have a baby soon. We will keep you in our prayers. I would like to share my favorite scripture with you. Jeremiah 1:5 says that before God formed us in the womb, He knew us. We are all here for a purpose, we are ordained to be a part of this world. I pray for a peace for you and your family and that your life will be filled with God's abounding love, mercy, and grace. Cherish every moment you have with your little one for they grow up so fast. Each minute of every day is so precious and so wonderful when we follow that still small voice of God. I was only going to thank you for the beautiful pictures but as I began, my heart was touched and I knew that I had something to share with you. It's that still small voice of God that speaks to our hearts. God bless mom, dad, and baby with a long and healthy life together. -Edna"

Just a little tid-bit that I wanted to remember.

Babies R Us

Yesterday, Mom, Me, Brooke (and Crewe) went to Babies R Us so I could register for a few things! From diapers to clothing to toys, etc. I think we covered quite a few things that I'll be needing!

Most people have asked, and we will have 2 nurserys. One in Zebulon and one at Bulls Bay. Since we split our time between the 2 anyway (pretty much evenly), we figured we'd go ahead & make both places as accommodating to Grace as possible to eliminate having to carry so much stuff back & forth. I found this cute bedding online before registering and thought it was perfect for the Bulls Bay house. Aunt Chris is letting us use the nursery furniture that was Haley's at the Bay, so I think this will go nicely. This bedding and accessories isn't sold at the store but somehow they happened to have the bedding set in the store yesterday so I swipped it to eliminate shipping costs! Now I can take it to the bay this week and get started decorating... (hopefully)!

We've yet to pick out anything nursery wise for the lake yet. Hopefully we can do that soon.

Scott & I

Scott and I had our pictures taken last month by my cousin Tripp's wife's sister, Kelli, who lives out in Utah/CA and was coming into Wilmington to visit with them. I picked her up from the airport in Raleigh and she took our pictures at the lake house before heading their way. Here's a few from our session.

We figured we'd go ahead and take some pictures since we hardly have any of us anyway. And, before my belly gets too big! ;) We hope you all have a *very* Merry Christmas!! XOXO

Another Ultrasound

Yesterday we found out that we were expecting a baby girl, but needed to go back to the doctor today for another Ultrasound to check some other things. Here are a few photos of today's ultrasound.

Here's Baby Grace's Profile:

And here's her footprint:

Gigi & Big Daddy went with me to the doctor today and they got to see the ultrasound. Everything is going to be OK!

Appointment Rescheduled

Meet Tater at approximately 19 weeks and 4 days.

My appointment got changed to today, rather than the day before Christmas Eve, so we got an even earlier Christmas Present. We found out that Tater is...

*A GIRL!*

We didn't tell anyone that our appointment got changed so we could call everyone at our own convience and surprise them with the news! We're very excited to be welcoming a little girl into our world! We haven't decided on a definite name yet. However we have a few that we are toying around with. Our favorite is Grace. That was Scott's grandmother's name and I love the name so we're definitely using it. No matter what we put with it I'm sure we'll call her Grace unless the name we use with it is cute enough to use as a double name!

Scott was very nervous. He hates doctors offices and it tends to make him a little queasy! He did fairly good through the ultrasound, but was constantly moving around, he just couldn't sit still. Neither could the baby. She moved during the whole ultrasound! Guess we know where she gets that from! :)
