Before & After

On August 9th, we started Grace on the propranolol, her medication to help her hemangioma. I knew it was getting better but I didn't realize how much better until I looked at the picture that I took today compared to the picture that I took the day we started the medication! So, I thought I would share with you her progress within the past 3 months on this medication.

BEFORE: (August 9, 2009)

In the above image you can also see the first round of ulcers we were battling at the time (closer in toward her neck). I'm very thankful that after that battle and one other battle we have been ulcer free since the end of October.

NOW: (November 18, 2009)

Doesn't that look so much better? My oh my! :) This makes my heart happy. You can see scarring from her 2nd round of ulcers here too. They say even once the hemangioma goes away we will still know that something was there and we will be able to tell just were her scarring from the ulcers were.

Just had to share a before and after shot for you today! God is good! Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to pray for her as she's still on the propranolol and will be for a few more months!

Hugs to All!

No Fear

When I'm upstairs working in the office, Grace hangs out in her jumper, laying on the floor under her little gym , or sitting up on the counter in her bouncy chair. As you know from the post before, Miss Curious dosen't like to lay back in her chair much anymore, she'd rather sit up and explore what's under her, around her, abover her, etc.

She gotten to where she can take the toys that hang from the bar above her and pull them completely down and that's how she prefers to play with them.
Good thing she was strapped in huh? Yes, I've learned my lesson and will soon no longer be putting her up on high surfaces in her chairs. Guess she wanted to look at these toys from a different angle, the normal way just wasn't fun anymore!
And then... Miss Curious found that there are papers nearby and decided she's reach for them too...

...man is she flexible. Sorry again for the poor quality of these pictures, I had to act fast, and my camera was the closest thing to me! :)

Walmart Funnies & Doctors Visit

Grace and I were at Wal-mart today before 830am, but still in our pj's :). Grace is always happiest in the morning. Today I sneezed and she thought it was so funny. So... I pretended to keep sneezing and this is what I got. Man I LOVE those giggles!

If you look closely you can see her two bottom teeth! Sorry for the blurry-ness I shot this on my cell phone.

This afternoon we went to the doctor for Grace's 6 month well appointment. She now weighs 13 lbs 12 oz (15th percentile) and is 26 1/4 inches long (75th percentile). She had her 6 month immunizations and everything else checked out fine!

Half-a-year!

Today, Grace is 6 months old! I never thought she's get here when I was pregnant, and now time sure is flying by. Scott and I have surely been blessed with a precious baby girl. The past 6 months have been more than I could have ever imagined. I never knew what it would be like, but I can honestly say I don't think it could have been any better!

New Milestones

Grace is growing like a weed. She's only 3 days away from being 6 months old. She's so curious (more like nosey, hehe!) spinning herself all around to see things. She's beginning to get pretty good at sitting up. As you saw in the previous post of her in her costume, she was sitting alone in the grass. Sunday afternoon I was cleaning house and she was playing with her little bee that hangs over her chair. I went into the kitchen to wash the dishes and I could hear her making grunting noises, so I went to check it out! This is how I found her...

She just couldn't quite get to the carpet! Good thing she was strapped in, huh? She continues to amaze me every day. She's really getting to where she wants to grab things and then if she gets a hold of them they go straight to the mouth whether it's glasses, necklaces, toys, you name it. Even when she's straped into her carseat she acts like she wants to sit up. This next image is my most favorite out of this series. It's like she's so excited to have learned a new trick and that she's just completely amazed herself.

Happy Halloween!

We dressed up Grace for her first Halloween as a ladybug! I must say, she was certainly the cutest ladybug I've ever seen! ;)
