Hatteras

We're in Hatteras this week. Scott is fishing in a tournament and Grace and I got to come along. He's out fishing today after a layday yesterday.  We're thankful that the Perry's invited us to join them this week. Grace and I have some pool time on the agenda for today! :)

On the Beach...

Last week Scott was gone all week long so we decided to take a trip to Nags Head to stay at his vacation rental since it happened to not be rented for that weekend. It was Grace's first trip to the ocean this year and she seemed extremely apprehensive about the sand.

The water was freezing cold so we didn't get in and could barely stand our toes in it. We did get a chance to spend some time in the pool though so that was nice.

Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we took a boat trip over to the Sandy Beach. It was Grace's first time with swimmys and in any sort of water this year. It was interesting to watch her figuring out her surroundings.

I somehow managed to get Grace to take a nap with all of the commotion. It took quite some time but once I got her down she snoozed for about an hour! I use to love when she slept on my chest as a baby, so certainly enjoyed that hour!

Sunday of Memorial Day weekend I photographed a wedding and had some photo sessions on Monday too but we did get in some pool time at Aunt Brooke, Uncle Cappi, Dawson, & Crewe's house. By then Grace was a champ with her swimmies on and loved swimming without holding onto anyone!

She even loved jumping in the pool!

I really dont understand why the Mudcats stadium isn't more crowded than it is when we go. It's such a cheap fun time!

Ballet Class

This week Grace went to a dance camp for three days. It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Our cousin Lilley went and it was fun to spend time with her and Jenn too! Check out these two little ballerinas. (And thanks Jenn for the video!)

Fingerpainting

A few weeks ago, Grace and I tried fingerpainting. She wasn't too sure about getting her hands messy. But I sure LOVE some of the photos I captured of her. I think the very first one is my favorite.
